The mind is a forest,
And each thought a grain in soil
Waiting for the rain

The eyes are a current
And self a constant stream
That rushes out to sea

The hand is the earth
And touch a hidden path
Uncovered by the breeze

The heart is a fire
And will a field of brush
Succumbing to the flame

Sense disperse, scattered vast
Everywhere, all at once
Closing sight and sound
but feel to know

And time it slips,
some will say
It comes
in waves of poetry
All of this for us
to make clear

When touch is thrown
Into scattered fragments
A thundering chaos
Swallows control
And claims domain
To reap a catastrophe

Such are we who roam
Straying from the senses
Loss envelopes form
Leaving barren eyes
Surveying our ruin
As we harvest atrocity

Exploding, bursting, borne
From the dawn of time
One thousand spires
Of a thousand eyes
Will gaze into shattered skies

If we could see through
A nebulous genesis
Universal lens to shape our view
